Adeline Software International produced a computer game called “Little Big Adventure” which was first released in 1994. Electronic Arts released this game in Europe as well as all over North America, where it was called Relentless: Twinsen's Adventure, and sold many copies all over the world.
Game play
Little Big Adventure is a 3D computer game. The characters as well as vehicles used in this game, along with props which are present in the world, portrayed as three dimensional things which are polygon based, which have been allowed overall rotational movements. The player is awarded a video sequence after he completes certain tasks. The character which the player is controlling is Twinsen, who behaves in 4 ways which are all different modes and each is helpful in different situations faced by the players. Twinsen can also keep objects which are found in an inventory.
This adventure game has a combination of different action game sequences and includes the elements which are from the genre of role-playing games. The game has a partial free-roaming game play, which allows the game player to move around on the island after any locks are opened after the completion of specific tasks. Initially some destinations in this game are not accessible to the player until they advance up to the specific level, such as the islands in North Hemisphere as well as the forts on the islands of South Hemisphere.
Plot
This computer game is set on a planet named Twinsun, where on each hemisphere there is a sun. The population of Twinsun includes Quetchs who have semblances to humans, round creatures called Spheros, Grobos who are like elephants as well as Rabibunnies which are similar to rabbits.
Everyone on Twinsun is thrown by the evil person Dr Funfrock into the Southern hemisphere who has created clones to occupy the planet who use machines for travelling. The Quetch who is known as Twinsen is the player who was locked in the asylum due to his dreams which seem to be prophetic.
When the game starts inside the asylum, escaping is the main aim of Twinsen. Players have to get hold of some objects having magical qualities to overthrow the evil person, Dr. Funfrock.
